PURCHASING
If you are interested in purchasing my art, please fill out the contact information below, and I will reach out to arrange payment and shipping.
All original watercolors are done on 140lb cold or hot press professional quality watercolor paper using a combination of artist grade watercolors. Signed. Unframed.
CARE
Watercolors vary in their degree of lightfastness, so best care for original artwork on paper is to frame it matted, and protect it behind glass.
SHIPPING
Original watercolors are shipped in a protective sleeve and rigid mailer, or on hard backing in a protective sleeve in an envelope, depending on size.
Prints are giclee on archival paper and shipped directly to you from the giclee printer.
PET PORTRAITS
If you would like a pet portrait, fill out the contact information below and I will reach out to discuss details. Prices will vary, but generally you can expect to pay around $2/square inch for custom commissioned work. For example, a 5x7 pet portrait is $70, a 9x12 pet portrait is $150-$200, depending on amount of white space and type of fur.

About the artist
Amy High is a self-taught artist living and working in Central Illinois. She is a physician, mother of 4, and the wife of a surgeon. Along with gardening and cooking, she finds that creating art is a path to relaxation and meditation. Amy started creating art for her own home in her 20's, using any medium she had on hand - crayons, craft paint, latex, acrylic on canvas, recycled canvas, or wood. Many of these early pieces are in her home today. She became interested in watercolor in 2019 after seeing ads for Let's Make Art, which provides watercolor tutorials by Sarah Cray. This is where she began her watercolor journey, which she continues today. Her style is evolving - she enjoys spending hours in photorealistic florals and fruits, but also loves loose landscapes. She also enjoys watching an animal come alive on paper by giving extra attention to the details of the eyes.
